The Easton Estate is a privately owned rural estate on the Lincolnshire and Rutland border, between Stamford and Grantham. Owned and managed by the Cholmeley family since 1561, today it is home to Easton Walled Gardens, holiday cottages, The Cholmeley Arms, residential properties, farmland and woodland.

Easton has been home to generations of families for more than 460 years. Set in the rolling countryside of South Lincolnshire, it is still very much a working estate — a place where people live and work, fields are farmed, woods are managed and businesses grow alongside the landscape.
We’re country people through and through and our connection with our surroundings runs deep. Ask someone harvesting the fields, pruning the cherry trees, stocking the shop or sinking a pint at the end of the day and they’ll tell you what this place means to them.
There is plenty of beauty here, but Easton has never stood still. The Hall that once stood at its heart was demolished in 1951 and its gardens disappeared beneath decades of growth before their restoration began in 2001. What’s an estate with no hall? How do you reveal the beauty lost beneath the thorns? Those questions have helped shape the Easton you see today.
Strong roots keep us grounded, but they also give us the confidence to find new ways of doing things. The Estate continues to evolve, while remaining firmly connected to the landscape and communities around it.

Easton Walled Gardens
At the heart of the Estate are our 12-acre restored gardens. Meadows, roses, orchards, sweet peas and productive gardens fill the valley where Easton Hall once stood, with The Courtyard, Coffee Room and shops nearby.
The Cholmeley Arms
Our village pub at Burton-le-Coggles: local ales, good food and a warm welcome.
Holiday Cottages
Stay at Easton for a little longer. Six of our holiday lets are within Easton Walled Gardens, providing a wonderfully peaceful base for exploring Lincolnshire, Rutland and the surrounding countryside.

Yes. Easton Walled Gardens lies at the heart of the historic Estate, on the site of the gardens belonging to the former Easton Hall.
What happened to Easton Hall?
Easton Hall was demolished in 1951. After decades of neglect, restoration of the surviving gardens began in 2001.
Can I stay on the Easton Estate?
Yes. Six Easton Holiday Cottages are within Easton Walled Gardens, with further properties in the wider holiday cottage collection.
