Part-time Gardener at Easton Walled Gardens

We’re looking for a permanent, part-time gardener to join the team.

The hours will be 3 days a week, 8am – 4.30pm daily (24 hours per week). The salary will be between £12,000 and £13,000 per year dependent on experience.

The successful applicant will be expected to have horticultural qualifications, be able to raise plants, weed borders and prune shrubs (among other duties, including mowing and strimming) to a horticultural standard.

The job involves being part of a friendly team under a head gardener and part of an historic Estate working in beautiful gardens open to the public.

The starting date for the job will be May 2022

Assistant Housekeepr

The position available is that of part-time Assistant Housekeeper for Easton Holiday Cottages, based at The Estate Office in Easton. We are looking for a competent and willing person to assist the Head of Housekeeping for all of the Holiday Cottages and Holiday Lets on the Estate. The role includes cleaning and preparing all of the Easton Estate’s Holiday Lets, under the supervision of the Head of Housekeeping. The successful candidate will also be asked, on occasion, to cover for the Head of Housekeeping in their absence.

The hours of work are not fixed and are dependent on bookings, and as such the ability to work flexibly and to be available at short notice is essential. The successful applicant must be also able to work occasional weekends.

Duties to include cleaning of Holiday Lets on changeover days, and during vacancies and any other duties that may be required to get each property ready for new guest arrival and to keep them up to standard.

The successful applicant will have good customer skills, organisational, communication and problem solving skills, the ability to work as part of a team.

The ability to work flexibly and at short notice is essential. Relevant training will be provided where necessary.
