Sweet Pea 'Indigo King'

Lathyrus odoratus 'Indigo King'

Introduced by the Father of the Sweet Pea, Henry Eckford, in 1885. Our strain of this heritage sweet pea has really dazzled us this year with its beautiful violet and burgundy petals.I picked this bunch in early July but they went on for much longer. Great scent with three, occasionally four smallish flowers to a stem and, for our money, better than Matucana.

Sweet pea seed grown and harvested with such care needs a suitable container to keep the seed stable and dry. The Easton Collection is now available in fully recyclable tins. Decorated in a pattern designed by Ursula Cholmeley, the tin reflects colours found in arts and crafts motifs of the Edwardian Era when sweet peas were as highly valued at Easton as they are today.
