Here's a round up in pictures of the 2016 photographic competition, Halcyon Days, sponsored by Savills and supported by media partner, The English Garden magazine.

Snowdrop Week

snowdrop iconWe had an incredible Snowdrop Week this year, despite being a little nervous about the warm spell bringing the snowdrops out a tad earlier! They held on for us and produced some wonderful displays throughout the gardens, in particular, our famous snowdrop bank.

If you are planning on visiting us for snowdrops again next year, we have put together this handy plan so you get the absolute best from your visit. Feel free to print off and share with friends and family.

Sweet Pea Week

Open Daily July 2nd -9th 2017. 11.00 -4.00

Every year we raise hundreds of sweet pea plants from seed in the greenhouses. You can find 100 types of heritage, modern, scented, striped, flake and bicolour sweet peas. They are displayed on canes, drums and wigwams throughout the pickery, vegetable and cottage gardens. Over 50 varieties of roses flower in the meadows and borders. The perfect english day out.
