Sweet Pea Seed – Toffee Apple

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Toffee Apple’

Choose an Easton Walled Gardens original to sweeten your summer.

£4.00 Min. 15 seeds per pack

Full of charming blooms and sweet light scent, the Toffee Apple sweet pea is a dream for garden decoration and for picking. Originally from Winston Churchill stock, we discovered this floriferous, old fashioned grandiflora a few years ago and after trialling it meticulously, in 2020 felt confident enough to give it a name. With its bright red lowers and lush green foliage it reminded us of a Granny Smith apple, coated with red caramel. So the Toffee Apple sweet pea was born.

Capturing the Gardens’ magic in a illustrated seed tin…

Sweet pea seeds grown and harvested with this much care deserve to have a thoughtful container to keep them stable and dry. So we made a fully-recyclable seed tin – decorated with an original Easton Collection design. Created by Ursula Cholmeley and blooming with sweet peas, the design reflects the colours found in the Arts and Crafts motifs of the Edwardian era when sweet peas were as adored at Easton as they are today.
