Sweet Pea 'Butterfly'

SP49

Lathyrus odoratus 'Butterfly'

Introduced in the second half of the nineteenth century, this delicate hooded flower grows on a very bushy plant that is surprisingly tall for a grandiflora or heritage variety. A reliable sweet pea with beautiful green buds that unfold into lavender hooded flowers and great scent. We give this an A* for quality!

Sweet pea seed grown and harvested with such care needs a suitable container to keep the seed stable and dry. The Easton Collection is now available in fully recyclable tins. Decorated in a pattern designed by Ursula Cholmeley, the tin reflects colours found in arts and crafts motifs of the Edwardian Era when sweet peas were as highly valued at Easton as they are today.
