Sweet Pea 'Border Beauty'

Lathyrus odoratus 'Border Beauty'

Pale colours are important in a vase of sweet peas so ensure you grow a few in the garden. For me, this sweet pea is a great choice.Border Beauty is aptly named for its pure white flowers with a blue wire or picotee outline at the very edge of the petals. The effect is to give the flowers a strong outline and they look wonderful against a blue sky or dark hedge. It is a vigorous sweet pea with large flowers, usually four to a stem.

Sweet pea seed grown and harvested with such care needs a suitable container to keep the seed stable and dry. The Easton Collection is now available in fully recyclable tins. Decorated in a pattern designed by Ursula Cholmeley, the tin reflects colours found in arts and crafts motifs of the Edwardian Era when sweet peas were as highly valued at Easton as they are today.
