Salvias provide vivid color that lasts from summer through to Autumn. Also known as Clary, this annual plant is native to an area extending from the Mediterranean to the Crimea and into Iran. Blue Monday Salvia quickly grows up to 28 inches tall and about 12 inches wide. The brilliant purple-blue flowers last well as cut flowers or dried flowers. The plant prefers loose soil, good drainage, moderate water, and mostly sunny locations.
Sow Spring and early summer. Hardy annual which will self sow a little in future years but collect seed if you want a reliable crop the following year.
