Sweet Pea 'Almost Black'

Lathyrus odoratus 'Almost Black'

'Almost Black' is a highly scented sweet pea in a gorgeous blackcurrant colour. It is an excellent grandiflora type with three flowers to a stem. It has a fairly short, climbing habit so is a good choice for containers. It looks particularly striking growing with Victorian and Edwardian sweet peas such as America or Indigo King.

Sweet pea seed grown and harvested with such care needs a suitable container to keep the seed stable and dry. The Easton Collection is now available in fully recyclable tins. Decorated in a pattern designed by Ursula Cholmeley, the tin reflects colours found in arts and crafts motifs of the Edwardian Era when sweet peas were as highly valued at Easton as they are today.
