Inspired by manuscript painting traditions, the Illumina is a special edition palette. Handmade watercolour set of nine individually wrapped half pans. The Illumina collection comes in a custom nine colour gift box and is packaged with original marbled paper by Florentine artisan workshop.

Made by hand in Assisi, A. Gallo’s watercolours are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

Includes nine exquisite earth, mineral and plant based pigments:

  • Antique gold (metallic pigment, PY43) – Excellent lightfastness

  • Lapis lazuli, Fra Angelico – Excellent lightfastness

  • Malachite hue PG7, PG36, PY43, PW4 – Excellent lightfastness

A. Gallo Colors are 100% handmade. Pans may contain small imperfections like tiny bubbles and minor blemishes. This does not affect the quality of the paint and is a sign of the human touch that goes into making each and every unique pan!

Handmade in Italy, A. Gallo’s watercolours are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic from the acacia tree, local honey from Umbria and rosemary essential oil. Every batch of paint is made from premium pigments and hand poured into pans. This intensive process creates a very pigmented, luminous, and pure paint with excellent lightfastness that activates beautifully when wet.

Half pans present a choking hazard and are not intended for use by children. Please also keep out of reach of pets. A. Gallo Colors are all cadmium, cobalt, lead and mercury free.
